Sussex County ARES has hybrid meetings on the even months of the year on the second Wednesday. These hybrid meetings are both in person and also run via Zoom for those that cannot attend in person. 

 

Odd months only Zoom meetings are also held to provide additional training.  These odd month meetings are generally training meetings which go over a variety of topics which are geared towards our served agencies but are valuable to all amateur radio operators involved in emergency communications (EmComm). 

 

These hybrid meetings are held at the Arena's restaurant at the Airport in Georgetown. This meeting location provides the perfect venue for our meetings as it provides a high speed internet, wide screen TV, free parking and the best of all, great food. Arena's offers half price sandwiches on Wednesday's. 

 

Arena's at the Airport in Georgetown is located at 21553 Rudder  Lane Georgetown, DE  19947. Meetings officially start at 6:30 but members start showing up at 5:45 to order snacks. Meetings are held in conference room on the left as you enter the building. Bringing your EmComm laptop is a good idea as we often discuss and teach the usage of the WinLink Global Email over Radio System. Most of the parking lot is open but there are a few reserved spaces so watch the signs. The Link for the Zoom meeting is always posted on our main page.
